The top wine from dynamic Champagne house Thiénot, founded by Alain Thiénot in 1985. Only 3,300 bottles are produced and 2010 is the first year they have not let the base wines go through malolactic fermentation, lending the final Champagne with added tension and brisk acidity. It's 100% Chardonnay, and full of crisp lemon and green apple fruit, with lots of mineral notes and fine jasmine aromas. Long, fine and elegant.

Comprising just 36% of production and consisting of 90.5% Cabernet Sauvignon, this wine continues to be bold, tannic and surly as it reaches maturity. The structural components are firm and strong, unyielding in nature yet crafted with immaculate precision and sophistication. This is a monumental Latour, yet with a sense of not being imposing, with a lithe, fluid nature. Clarity of expression, great depth, complexity and a very long finish. As great a wine as has ever been made at Latour.
