1994 Bodegas Faustino I Gran Reserva, Rioja
The nose brings notes of sweet leather and spice, with cherry fruit still beautifully present. The palate is classic Rioja: the fruit is ripe and endearing, whilst there is a veritable smorgasbord of spice in attendance: think opening a kitchen cupboard! Still with good structure, this is an absolute bargain.
