Deep and bright in hue, the nose is open with notes of ripe berry and stone-fruit to the fore. The cool ripeness present in the grand vin is well represented here, in this fleshy, generous second wine of Lynch-Bages. Mid-weight, with soft tannins, the accent is on supple, vibrant fruit. This is admirably balanced and very appealing. No new oak is employed, allowing a vibrant red fruit character to assume centre stage.
