Consolidating your wines

It makes sense to bring your wine reserves together and our storage facility - Vinothèque - is one of the very best.

Many fine wine collectors prefer to store all their wines in one place, even if they’ve purchased it from different merchants. We are pleased to coordinate this activity with our storage facility, Vinothèque, to ensure wines from other locations are received safely.

In order to initiate this process, ask the existing warehouse (or merchant) to arrange delivery. When your wine has safely arrived at Vinothèque, it will be added to your account and you’ll be notified by one of our team, with an accompanying report. The wines will also be visible on your online account.

Charges

Sealed Original Cases: There is no charge for receiving, handling and documenting sealed original cases (6 or 12 9-litre bottles) purchased elsewhere and delivered to Lay & Wheeler for storage at Vinothèque. However, we do require written confirmation of the under-bond value of wines at the time of receipt at the bonded warehouse, so best to check with us before you get started.

Mixed Cases: To receive, handle and document a mixed case of wine, a charge of £10 per case (up to 9 litres, or 12 x 75cl bottles) will be applied. For mixed cases where the wines within must be itemized and listed as such on the account, a £20 per case will apply, which includes a condition report.

Please get in touch with Customer Service directly via customerservice@laywheeler.com or on +44 01473 313 200 to initiate this process.
