Wine Knowledge - Regions

The Great Wine Regions of the World

Grapes for wine production are grown widely throughout the world, supplying both home and export markets.

The style and quality varies enormously to supply an ever demanding audience. Wine can range in price from as little as a couple of pounds up to hundreds or even thousands of pounds a bottle and factors such as grape variety, producer and region all have an influence.

There are regions which have gained a unique reputation for supplying a particular wine or particular style, like Burgundy or Piemonte. We have tried to highlight what we consider to be the greatest wine regions across the world, and explain how these regions differ and what makes them special.
