We will publish our formal Bordeaux 2009 offer in July; however if you would like to learn of releases and prices as they are announced, please sign up to receive our email updates.
Château-Release Emails
- When each individual Château releases its price, we will send an email providing the relevant information. If you would like to purchase, you need to respond to that email.
- The price quoted will be an “in bond” price, which is exclusive of UK duty and VAT.
- If you are successful in securing a particular wine, we will confirm your purchase and request payment details
Registration of Interest
- You can register your interest in specific Châteaux here. This will enable us to ensure that you receive the information most relevant to you, particularly in the instance of wines where allocation may be necessary.
- Please note that registering your interest does not indicate a guaranteed purchase, nor will the wines be reserved for you.
Allocations
In this vintage, demand will almost certainly outstrip supply for some of the most sought-after wines, including First Growths and other top wines of the vintage. Therefore, it may be necessary for us to allocate these limited stocks.
In this instance, a Château-Release email will not be sent, but allocations will be worked out based on those who have registered interest in the relevant wine. Clients who are successful in receiving an allocation will be contacted by our team of consultants.
While we will endeavour to meet all clients' requests, we will prioritise those clients who are purchasing a spread of wines, rather than focusing solely on leading Châteaux.
As the allocations process can take some time, please note that this may result in a slight delay in confirming your purchase.
Shipment
Wines will be shipped to the UK from autumn 2011, depending on the policy of the individual Châteaux. When the wine arrives in the UK, it is automatically delivered to and stored at our bonded warehouse, Vinothèque. We will contact you when your wine arrives at Vinothèque and you can decide whether to take delivery of the wines (paying prevailing rate of duty and VAT) or store them through Lay & Wheeler at Vinothèque (£8.40 per case per year if paying by Direct Debit).
