Although to wine lovers this may appear to be the 'dream ticket', tasting young, tannic barrel samples from 8am until dusk is actually hard and serious work! Of course the task is far less trying in years when the quality of the vintage is this good - and 2008 is undoubtedly a very successful year for the wines of Bordeaux.
