Why should I cellar my wine?
Wine is notoriously difficult to store. It takes up a lot of room and needs to be stored under the right conditions. Variations in temperature, light and even movement can disturb and affect its maturation process. Providing the right environment is essential, particularly if your wine needs several years or more ageing. In today’s growing fine wine market, proof of provenance is fundamental and the wine is far more desirable if it is available in bond.
Where should I store my fine wine?
Your wine should be stored in a dedicated warehouse like
Vinothèque, an industry leading bonded cellar with a long record of storing fine wine.
How is your service different?
The Portfolio Service aims to provide you with all the details you need to know about your wine, from individual case labelling for customer protection to drink dates, market valuations and tasting notes. You do not need to have purchased the wine from us, we can help arrange transfers from other merchants, or we can collect from your home.
How much will it cost me?
For just £35 per year (2009 - £35), plus
cellarage charges we can take away the hassle of trying to coordinate and manage your cellar on your own by providing you with clear and relevant information.
