One glance at the glass reveals the depth, ripeness and intensity of the Réservée
bottling. The bouquet is gloriously full and rich, offering fruit and spice in abundance
like the best Christmas cake. Notes of liquorice add appeal as does a discreet peppery
complexity. The palate seems both sweet and dry, with a cigar and brandy-like finish.
Destined to be a memorable and delicious wine. The 2003 is a wine with finesse and poise , with an inviting, spice-laden nose . Layers of ripe, red autumn fruit on the palate, delicious sweet spice, and an earthy, dusky fruit quality on the finish.
This is the second wine of the iconic Domaine du Vieux Télégraphe. Grenache and Mourvèdre in the blend give the wine an attractive spicy, autumn fruit scent with layers of hedgerow fruit on the palate, intermingled with sweet spice. Lovely richness on the finish.
The warmth of 2003 is evident from the appealling tropical scents and the luscious texture. A voluptuous condrieu from a top producer.
