Complex and appealing on the nose, with notes gentle notes of white flowers, spice and candied citrus. On the palate, while mouthcoating, this displays an appealingly delicate nature, with floral characters, white fruit and a delineating minerality that provides backbone to the soft fruit core.
Rich and luscious yet with vivid, vibrant acidity. Its fairly restrained nose of light citrus fruits, white petals and lime flower is supported by wonderfully sweet quince syrup and honey on the palate. Delightful and deliciously fresh. Incredible weight and balance. This is a wine of the utmost subtlety and elegance.
Juicy apple and fresh lime fruit with a touch of herb and fennel. There is a lovely grapefruit freshness supported by spicy length of flavour and slatey minerality. Crisp, clean and pure.
This graceful wine, from the grey slate slopes above the village of Rüdesheim, is scented with white flowers and peach. The concentrated nose has notes of fruit tea and lemons which follows through to a highly mineral palate with a fine citrus finish. Lovely complexity will allow this wine the best part of a decade to emerge from its chrysalis.
Fresh, ripe stone fruits with yellow plum and greengage. A touch of apple adds delicacy. On the palate, the wonderful concentration of limes, lemons and apricots is superbly balanced by a lovely acidity and long length, laced with salts and minerals.
This is the most pure and mineral wine in the Leitz portfolio, especially when young, thanks to the cool, quartzite soil of the Roseneck vineyard. Lovely fresh fruit on the nose, showing grapefruit, melon and pear, leading to a very mineral palate with elements of crushed shells and a certain buoyant saltiness on the finish. Delightful, delicate and wonderfully refined.
The Haag family and their ancestors have been making wine in the Mosel valley for centuries and are now well-known for their pure, mineral wines made from fruit from the great vineyards of Braunerberg and Brauneberger Sonnenühr. This has a subtle, slightly smoky nose, with notes of citrus and white flowers coming through. On the palate, a lean minerality and zesty acidity providing the framework to gentle citrus characters and notes of lime flower. Pure and harmonious, with an effortlessly long finish.
Star fruit, passion fruit, melons and lychee combine with caramel, peach syrup, white flowers and sweet tangerine to create a truly remarkable wine. Made from one hundred percent unbotrytised grapes picked at dawn on Boxing Day, the incredible concentration of flavour is paramount, supported by an almost transcendent acidity and piercingly fresh minerality. This is a wine of pure grace and style – a truly ethereal nectar.
