Not a straightforward year, with the risk of frost in the spring and with rains at the end of the harvest. Although cooler than average temperatures led to maturity being reached later than usual, the long steady growing season resulted in remarkable consistency and a crop of high quality grapes. Reds are particularly good, showing ripe, soft tannins and supple structures.
