"This wine comes from the Solera Fino-Amontillado. Ten years old. Few casks at this age are still Flor covered due to a lack of nutrients. There are some rare casks that still are covered by a thin veil of flor that continues to imbue the wine with ‘fino characteristics’. Very rare."
Deeper in colour, almost caramel in hue. Intense and vibrant on the nose, with notes of spiced citrus rind, wood-smoke and antique wood. Concentrated on the palate, with linear grapefruit citrus melding with darker, savoury hazelnut, black tea and toasted-sourdough notes. The finish is exceptionally fresh, bright and concentrated, lingering on the palate with notes of marmalade spice.
