2008 Sauvignon Blanc, Cloudy Bay, Marlborough
This is a wine in need of little introduction. Intense aromas of zesty tropical fruit and crushed grass. On the palate, intense but fresh pineapple and grapefruit characters are to the fore, with green olive and a subtle herbaceousness. Zesty acidity balances a full body, and a steely minerality provides backbone. A classic in waiting.
