2007 Estate Shiraz, Paringa, Mornington Peninsula
Appealing on the nose, with notes of spice, red berries and some savoury forest floor characters. The palate is velvet-textured, with the fine, ripe tannins and a rounded core of hedgerow fruit and spice. This is no jammy Shiraz by any means; there is a fine vein of acidity that runs throughout this wine, lifting it and giving it a lovely sense of purity and freshness. Ready to drink and utterly beguiling.
