Intense and very deep purple in the glass, this has attractively fragrant notes of cassis and morello cherry on the nose and just a touch of woodsmoke. The tannins are softly rounded, giving this a plump and velvety mouthfeel. Blackcurrant and plum fruit are to the fore, complemented by a liquorice spice and a subtle minerality on the finish. Very fine.
