2006 Trimpilin, Selvagrossa, Marche
A delicious, cherry-laden Sangiovese, this has attractive, vibrant summer fruits and a touch of spice on the nose. On the palate, this is full-bodied and rich, with ripe red fruits and an interweaving of vanilla. There are structural tannins present, but so subtle and fine as to be barely-there, just noticeable underpinning the appealing fruit core. The finish is long and pure, with a beautiful freshness coming through.
