From the blazing red volcanic soil in this dramatically steep vineyard, these 100 year old vines have produced a beautifully complex wine, with bright acidity and vibrant minerality. Soft lemons, green pear and apricots on the nose; the twelve months lees contact has lead to a palate resplendent in exotic notes of grapefruit and spices. Wonderfully crisp and dry, with a smoky finish, this is a serious dry Riesling which will continue to please for many years.
