Described by Robert Parker as being potentially “the wine of the vintage” (Wine Advocate #203), this is an exception Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Darkly intense and pure, with notes of black berries, hedgerow fruit and an elusive herbal note. The palate is rich, densely-textured and mouthcoating, with fine, ripe tannins, yet a mineral backbone gives this a sense of freshness, balance and poise.
