This is a serious wine. Intense and alluring on the nose, with quite a masculine array of aromas, such as leather, spice and a hint of pine kernel. The dark, rich fruits on the palate are concentrated and complex, with layers of soft, fine tannins. The lingering finish offers sweet spice and a savoury edge which gently fades away.
