There is a wild accent to the palate, meaty notes meld with provençal herbs, liquorice and fresh, sweetly ripe blackberry and cherry fruit. Slightly peppery, fine, yet sturdy tannins lend density and substance to this tightly packed châteauneuf-du-pape. Dry on the finish, with a cranberry-like twist of acidity. Long, pure and driven, this is simply outstandingchâteauneuf-du-pape.
