2009 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru La Grande Montagne, Olivier Leflaive Frères

2009 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru La Grande Montagne, Olivier Leflaive Frères

This vineyard is described by winemaker Franck Grux as lying in “no man’s land”, on account of the fact that it does not border any other vineyard – sitting alone on the top of the slope. The nose is of ripe fruit, with grapefruit, peach and nectarine notes to the fore. Opulent and generous, yet there is a fine intensity and a well integrated acidity. Very complete and harmonious – this reveals terrific finesse for its level.
