Fleshy red cherries with earthy notes entice the nose, whilst the palate is a medley of summer berries and exotic spice. The 60% new oak is well integrated and adds a savoury, smoky richness to the long finish. Impressive stuff, and an excellent reminder that the reputation of Chassagne was built on its reds
