Arguably Pommard’s greatest vineyard, with iron rich clay soil, this produces dense and muscular wines. Initially a little closed and brooding on the nose, the palate offers up crunchy red cherries laden with a characteristic earthy complexity, supported by a full, rich mouthfeel and sturdy tannins. Classic Rugiens.
