2007 Pommard 1er Cru Les Epenots, Aleth Girardin
Aleth owns two parcels on the Epenots, one in the Grand enclave the other on the slightly lower elevation of Petits Epenots. The wines are vinified separately and assembled after fermentation. Ripe and juicy with succulent fruit overlaying a characteristically firm base. Excellent value – as always. Recent tastings of mature vintages of Aleth’s wines have proved how well they age.
