2004 Volnay Vendanges Selectionnées, Michel Lafarge

2004 Volnay Vendanges Selectionnées, Michel Lafarge

Although 'only' a village appellation, Vendanges Selectionnées comes from specific parcels of old vines that Michel and Frédéric feel merit distinction from the standard volnay cuvée. On the nose there is volume and intensity, also a fine level of ripeness. The palate too has volume and intensity with a creamy, velvet note to the fruit. The balance is perfect, with a seamless harmony between acidity, fruit and structured tannins.
