2008 Château Haut-Brion Blanc, Cru Classé Pessac-Léognan

2008 Château Haut-Brion Blanc, Cru Classé Pessac-Léognan

A blend of 55% Semillon and 45% Sauvignon Blanc. Lovely fragrant nose infused with lanolin and wax. Good fresh acidity on the palate, lending a subtle citrus note. This is understated and supple, but does have considerable substance; a finely-honed wine within a firm structure, giving an intriguing combination of richness and a long dry finish. A wine of real elegance and underlying power, this will develop well over many years.
