Behind the deep, ripe plums and cherries, the 2010 Beauséjour-Bécot displays real freshness and peppery character, with a touch of menthol. This complexity comes across on the palate, where it has a very full body and a chocolatey finish after the dense, mouth-coating mid-palate. The tannins are grippy, but ripe and the winemaking team has clearly worked very hard to get plenty of depth from the grapes.
