2005 Château Bel-Air, Haut Médoc, Cru Bourgeois
A charming example of an excellent value wine from a great vintage, proving that one doesn’t always have to pay a huge price for a delicious Bordeaux. Fragrantly scented on the nose, with notes of cassis and spice. The palate is surprisingly refined with lush dark berries and coffee bean notes and fine, ripe tannins provide balance and structure. This is a true bargain.
