Tasting Note
An immaculate 23-hectare property located in the attractive rolling hills of St-Etienne-de-Lisse, in the eastern reaches of the St-Emilion appellation. The 2005 Puy-Blanquet is one of the best, if not the best vintage we have tasted from the property. Deep, vivid purple in appearance, the nose is redolent of fresh plums and dark cherries with a dash of spice. On the palate there is an immediate rush of luscious black fruits. Deliciously fresh and vibrant saint-emilion of a pure, unforced style – but not without structure. Action-packed with opulent, bright flavours that build to an impressive finish of refreshing, fresh fruit. Unquestionably good value.
