The fruit leaps out of the glass, even at this early stage: lovely intense cassis and raspberries, with a fresh edge of blackcurrant leaf and herbs. Winemaker Alexandre Thienpont accurately describes the texture of the tannins as 'cashmere' and the wine as 'archi-classique'. Great purity and elegance, with a tightrope quality, an unusually delicate concentration, which promises a great future. Legendary.
