The highest vineyard in the estate is known as San Stunet in Piemontese and has chalk and clay soil. 30% of the wine is aged in barrique, adding to its complexity. A dark brick red colour, with a cherry nose, a hint of menthol and very appealing spices. On tasting, the wine is full of cherry, loganberry and blueberry fruit, but it is lean and elegant with plush tannins and notes of balsamic and liquorice. All in all, a beautifully balanced wine.
