2006 L'Accent de la Roquète, Brunier
A recent addition to the Brunier portfolio, this special selection of just 4,000 bottles comprises 90% old vine
Grenache and 10% Mourvèdre. The vine-age delivers terrific concentration allied to the same familial elegance that is found with La Roquète itself. The sandy soils of the vineyard deliver markedly fragrant aromatics. There is a lush, layered fruit on the palate, all dusky raspberry, garrigue and spice. A sweet sense of ripeness is evident here, again making for an instantly appealing cuvée, though there is more to this wine, more backbone and finer length. Perhaps the best l’Accent yet.
