Domaine de l’Arlot began its renaissance in 1987 when it was purchased by the insurance group AXA, in partnership with Jean-Pierre de Smet, who became the manager of the estate. Jean-Pierre has guided the resurgence of the property with great success over the intervening years, introducing bio-dynamic principles, reducing yields and making very severe grape selection at harvest time.The
accent with the Arlot wines is on complexity, delicacy and underlying, rather than overt, power.
