Château Gazin
A large, 30 hectare vineyard which has the privilege of being one of Pétrus's neighbours - indeed it sold a parcel of land to the latter in 1970. It has never claimed to rival its neighbour and was somewhat pedestrian until a quality regime was applied in the late 1980s. Today it is a reliable performer, firm and rewarding and showing a characteristic mineral note from its iron-rich soils.
