Why do we send an Expression of Interest? | |
Many of the wines are in strictly limited supply and we are certain to be oversubscribed, so it is necessary for us to allocate rare and limited stocks. We therefore ask clients to let us know which wines they are interested in, so that we can allocate as fairly as possible.
While we endeavour to meet all clients’ requests, we prioritise those clients placing a balanced request, i.e. those who include a spread of wines, rather than focusing solely on leading domaines, leading Grands Crus or indeed the late releases included in this offer.
How It Works
• We send out the Burgundy report with estimated pricing, as not all prices are known at this early stage. We estimate prices based on last year’s releases and by taking currency fluctuations into account. We provide them for reference.
• We will contact all clients who have expressed interest during the week commencing the 16th January. No orders will be confirmed without contacting the client and communicating the exact prices of the wines requested.
• You may register your interest up until the 9.00am on the 13th January 2010. Should we be unable to supply a given wine in view of high demand, we will be pleased to recommend alternatives.
• Those clients attending our annual Burgundy En Primeur tasting on the 12th January at Glaziers’ Hall, London, will be able to complete an Expression of Interest form on the evening of the tasting.
