Wines of the New World

The wines of New Zealand, Australia, Chile and Argentina continue to impress and their fan base expands. With the glorious views from the Penthouse Suite overlooking the some of London’s most famous landmarks what better backdrop could you have to taste some of the best wines from the New World.
A full range of styles and tastes will be on display at this informal walkaround tasting and members of the Lay & Wheeler team will be on hand to offer guidance if needed. Lay & Wheeler very much

The Oyster Feast - a Lay & Wheeler Tradition
Saturday 25th October
The Oyster Fisheries, Mersea Island, Essex
£115.00 per person (inclusive of champagne apéritif, four-course lunch, wines)
The setting is idyllic and provides a unique opportunity to taste the worldrenowned Colchester Native Oyster close to its natural habitat. The Long Dining Room of the Oyster Fisheries, with its rustic charm, overlooks the oyster beds of Pyefleet Channel and this enchanting view is the perfect backdrop for a seafood-lover’s dream. A stroll along the sea wall prior to lunch is the ideal way to whet the appetite, and a glass of restorative champagne awaits the strollers. After which a four-course luncheon, prepared by the Peldon Rose team, will be served with a range of carefully selected wines.
