With a deep attachment to the classic wine regions of France, the company has, in the last 20 years, forged important contacts in New Zealand, Australia, Italy, Spain, Chile and Argentina.

Offers are made in every good vintage from Bordeaux, Burgundy, the Rhône, Germany, Champagne and Port. In the last ten years the scope has expanded to include Australian, Italian and Spanish wines.

Lay & Wheeler enjoys a relaxed countryside location at Holton St Mary, Suffolk, close to fast road and rail links to London and the rest of the country. Founded in Colchester in 1854, the company has been owned and run by the Wheeler family for six generations, Johnny Wheeler being the present Managing Director.
