The Fine Wine Plan
Terms & Conditions
The Lay & Wheeler FINE WINE PLAN is a purchase and storage scheme to facilitate the creation of a collection of wines for future consumption, investment or for resale.
Members joining the Fine Wine Plan are deemed to have accepted Lay & Wheeler's standard and cellarage terms and conditions. Additionally the following Fine Wine Plan terms and conditions apply:
- Wine accumulation through the FINE WINE PLAN is a consultant-led process guided by the member’s wine interest profile, which may be amended at any time. Members retain ultimate control over the direction of the cellar and Lay & Wheeler will, where requested, cancel any purchase made under delegated discretion which is deemed unsuitable by the member, within one month of purchase
- Payment is by monthly direct debit and is allocated against the oldest debt on account
- Wines may be purchased to the current value that Wine Credit facility provides
- Members may withdraw wine from storage at any time, either via online instruction or through their Wine Consultant, subject to all costs relating to the wine having been paid in full, including taxes where appropriate, and any outstanding storage fees
- The Lay & Wheeler FINE WINE PLAN reserves the right to offer joining promotions from time to time. Such incentives are exclusive to new members and will normally be offered subject to a minimum membership term
- Membership can be activated, suspended or re-instated on written instruction from the member (subject to terms relating to joining or membership promotions). Members may cancel their subscription by giving notice, in writing, to the registered office of Lay & Wheeler Ltd. Any outstanding balance on account must be settled in full and without delay
- Lay & Wheeler reserves the right to alter the terms of Fine Wine Plan membership, or to terminate the Fine Wine Plan, at any time.All alterations will be communicated to members via email
- The company reserves the right to charge interest at 2% per month on overdue amounts
- Free wine is available for withdrawal after 12 months of continued membership and will be subject to delivery, UK duty and VAT
The Fine Wine Plan Privilege Card
- The Fine Wine Plan Privilege Card entitles the bearer to a 10% discount at Majestic Wine Warehouses Ltd.
- The Fine Wine Plan Privilege Card has no monetary value, is strictly non-transferable and is only to be used for personal purchases by Fine Wine Plan members - not family / friends / other third parties. Only valid for use at Majestic Wine stores in mainland England and Wales, or via www.majestic.co.uk.
- Due to The Alcohol Scotland Act 2010 this card is not valid for use at Majestic Wine stores in Scotland.
- Not valid for use at Majestic in France or Lay & Wheeler.
- Minimum purchase of wine and spirits is 6 bottles (any mix). All products are offered subject to both availability and the prevailing terms and conditions at the time of purchase.
- Occasionally there may be some products where no further discount will be given, and you will be advised of this at the time of purchase.
- Majestic Wine retains the right to refuse to accept an order. This is not a credit card. Use of this card constitutes acceptance of our full terms and conditions. All benefits will stop if the Fine Wine Plan member ceases to subscribe £100 or more to their plan per calendar month.
